Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work with artists of all levels - from beginners building foundational skills to advanced artists refining their drawing and painting practice.

  • After you purchase a session, you will receive a follow‑up email from me within 24 hours with instructions for sending your artwork and choosing a meeting time. All scheduling is coordinated directly by email.

Current availability: Sundays and Mondays between 8:00 AM and 8:30 PM Pacific Time.

Once I receive your artwork and preferred time, I will confirm the session and send the Zoom link.

  • My goal is to offer the tools you need to help you see your work more clearly and move forward with confidence.

We will look at the structure of your piece, including proportion, gesture, and value, and use sight size and constructive drawing to clarify form. There is no fixed curriculum, but we can plan simple assignments if you want more structure.

We can work on still life, portraiture, figure drawing, landscapes, studies, or ongoing personal projects. If you’re studying independently, we can review whatever you’re working on. You will leave with clear, practical steps to improve your work and process.

  • A one‑time session to get a clear sense of where you are and what you want to work toward. We’ll look at your current piece(s), talk through your goals, and outline a simple path forward if you’d like ongoing guidance.

  • You send a high‑quality photo of your artwork (process shots recommended). During the session, we review your progress, identify structural issues, and outline clear next steps.

Each session builds on the last, but the pace and direction are always adapted to your goals and experience level.

  • For written critiques, no live session is necessary. You’ll send clear photos of your artwork, and I’ll return an annotated critique within a week. I draw directly over your images in Procreate, adding notes and suggestions to help you understand what’s working, what to adjust, and how to move forward in your next round of studies.

  • We start with a 45‑minute consultation where we look at your work together and talk through what you want to focus on next. After the session, you’ll create your next round of work and send me updated photos. I’ll then follow up with a written critique within the week, with clear notes to help guide your next steps.

  • A clear photo of your artwork, reference(s), and any process images you’d like me to see. For live sessions, a stable internet connection, Zoom installed on your device, and a quiet space are helpful.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the session. Because sessions are paid at the time of booking, payments for late cancellations or missed appointments are non‑refundable.

If you are more than 10 minutes late, the session may need to be rescheduled and will be considered a missed appointment.

This policy helps me protect my teaching time and maintain a consistent schedule for all students.
